We're happier than a dubious researcher with a fresh Government grant here at SMCB Towers... it's time for the 2017 edition of the 100 Hot Comics list!
We've made it a bit easier to skip from page to page, with a big, forward-only arrow just below the image of each book.
Everybody wants to know where their favorite books are on our annual list. Read on for some heads-up...
HIGHEST NEW ENTRY:
Amazing Spider-Man #46 |
This year, it is catapulted into the TOP TEN of the Hot 100!
BIGGEST LOSER:
Preacher #1

Biggest loser was Preacher #1, barely surviving on the Hot 100 this year's cut.
MOST SURPRISING POSITION:
New Mutants #98

Once the movie
hype was over and the popcorn got swept away, you could hear the Paypal KACHINGS as investors took their profits.
NM98 fell rapidly down the list.
TV SHOW WINNER:
Archie's Girls Betty and Veronica #320
|
The good reaction to Riverdale and the evil Cheryl Blossom portrayal made BV320 a very hot book.
GREATEST GOLDEN AGE GAIN:
Batman #47
|
You might not
realize it, but Batman #47 is the first detailed origin of the character.
