Both of these books show classic price compression patterns. Do you see how the value of 8.0 through 9.2 is almost identical? That's called price compression.
Ignorant buyers who don't know the difference will pay the same for a lower-grade example. They were not patient enough to wait for a better book.
But there is a flipside to this. Pristine Modern Comic Syndrome.
Ignorant flippers (people who buy comics to resell) who can't tell the difference between a 9.8 and a 9.0 are wasting money certifying these books.
If you're routinely sending "pristine" books to CGC and getting the 8.0 grade instead of the 9.8, then you need to learn how to spot faults on higher-grade comics.
