So I began digging through the issues of this era, and I made some exciting discoveries!

Uncanny X-Men #212:
Wolverine vs Sabertooth Battle Part 1

Uncanny X-Men #213:
Wolverine vs Sabertooth Battle Part 2
|

The second half of this epic battle. It's very popular with Wolverine fans.
Last sale in CGC 9.8: $103.
Uncanny X-Men #244:
1st Appearance of Jubilee
|
Chance of finding at a yard sale: 80%
This book looks like nothing, and you will often find it in long boxes at yard or estate sales, or lumped into lots on Craigslist.
Jubilee is to Wolverine what Robin is to Batman. Only her costume is a bit cooler.
Last sale in CGC 9.8: $140.
Uncanny X-Men #248:
1st Jim Lee Art on X-Men
|
Chance of finding at a yard sale: 80%
Another late 80s X-Men book which doesn't look remarkable, and will be an easy snaffle at yard sales.
Jim Lee is considered one of the greatest modern era artists to work on the X-Men titles.
Last sale in CGC 9.8: $150.
Uncanny X-Men #251:
Siege Perilous is Destroyed
|
Chance of finding at a yard sale: 60%
The cool X-crucifixion cover reminds me of the Logan movie, and this striking image means it is more likely to be gone by the time you rifle through a long box.
Siege Perilous is a portal which allows mutants to travel to an alternate dimension and live out a different life.
Last sale in CGC 9.8: $115.
Uncanny X-Men #256:
1st Appearance of New Psylocke
|
Chance of finding at a yard sale: 60%
Psylocke is such hot property that even British first appearances (Captain Britain
#8) are popular in the United States.
The very name on the cover means it's more likely to have been cherry picked from 90s runs when you get there.
Another book important to the Psylocke character is New Mutants Annual #2,
which is the first US appearance.
Last sale in CGC 9.8: $165.
